A host’s tags array carries a normalized form of every product FullHunt detects on it. The product name is lowercased and each space becomes a dash:
This page maps that tag back to the product it was built from, so a /intel/tag result can be read as a product observation and a product name can be turned into the tag that finds it. It contains 1,843 product tags derived from the 1,860 names in the Detected Products Catalogue.

What this page does not list

A host’s tags array also carries values derived from detected services, product categories, cloud and CDN providers, and infrastructure observations such as cname, ipv6, cdn, and vulnerable. Those are not product observations, and only the product-derived tags are listed here. Detected web technologies never become tags. Query those with /intel/web-tech and the Web Technologies Catalogue.

Interpretation

  • A tag match shows that a detection fired. It is not proof that the product is installed, or that a particular version is present.
  • 17 tags resolve to more than one product name because those names differ only in capitalization. Either name produces the same tag.
  • Some product tags are also service names, so a tag match is not always a product match. Confirm against the products field on the host record.
  • Tags are normalized and product names are not. Query /intel/tag with the tag and /intel/product with the product name.
Use Data Intelligence APIs for endpoint behavior and Data Provenance and Freshness when interpreting a match.
